Communication and feedback styles in intercultural context
with Eliza Skowron
Working in diverse teams can unleash much more creativity and potential, leading to outstanding performance — but this does not happen automatically. Differences in communication and feedback styles are among the most common causes of intercultural misunderstandings and conflicts.
In this session, we will explore direct and indirect communication and feedback styles. We will reflect on our own communication style and compare them with the communication and feedback norms and expectations commonly found in German academia. By identifying and learning to navigate these differences in advance, you can prevent many intercultural misunderstandings and create more effective and collaborative working relationships.
