As a newly created excellence cluster funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) under Germany’s Excellence Strategy, MCQST was tasked with addressing outstanding challenges in the field of quantum science and technology. We achieved this through our structured research program, infrastructure measures, strong support programs and public outreach. In 2019, we laid the foundation for many of our programs and focused on community building.
