Research focus: quantum information, computation, algorithms, complexity, cryptography

In our research group we explore how quantum systems encode, process, and transmit information, and how these principles enable fundamentally new forms of computation and communication. We seek to develop the theoretical foundations of quantum information science, with applications ranging from quantum algorithms to secure quantum communication, and from new descriptions of complex quantum systems to interdisciplinary problems across mathematics, physics, and computer science.
