Join the MCQST Doctoral Program
Whether you are just starting your PhD or are already well into your research, we invite you to become part of the vibrant MCQST Doctoral Program. The program is the central framework for all quantum-focused doctoral researchers in Munich and brings together a diverse community working across all fields of quantum science and technology.

In addition, the program ensures clear and consistent supervision standards for all doctoral researchers. Every registered member receives the same level of support and access to opportunities, regardless of their individual funding source.
Registration periods
To allow new members to join throughout the year, we offer two registration periods annually:
- Summer Semester: 15 April – 15 May
- Winter Semester: 15 October – 15 November
How to register
- Review the doctoral program guidelines.
- Download and complete the Registration Form and Supervision Agreement
- Send a profile photo for the MCQST PhD page.
- Email both documents and profile photo to support[at]mcqst.de within the registration window
That's it — once your documents are received and processed, you're officially part of MCQST Doctoral Program!

Current PhD Student (non-IMPRS)
Register NOW! If you are working in an MCQST-affiliated group, you are now invited to register with the MCQST Doctoral Program to access full support and training.
Current IMPRS-QST Member:
No action needed. You are automatically integrated into the MCQST Doctoral Program and will continue your existing curriculum without interruption.
