Lina Todenhagen - WSI, TU München

Hey there, my name is Lina and I am currently working in the Brandt group at the Walter Schottky Institut on the electrical readout of nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamond. Currently, I focus on optimizing the diamonds and their electrical contacts, as well as on finding the best suited laser wavelengths to enhance signal strength and readout fidelity.

As a Master’s student, I gained many new experiences throughout the last year, such as sample fabrication and everyday laboratory practice, but also attending seminars and working through theoretical basics. I look forward to using these newly acquired skills as a PhD student from early 2021 onwards, after finishing my Master’s thesis. So, at the moment my biggest challenge is the everyday struggle of not missing the right time (or the last subway) to head home and leave open questions in the lab, at least for the night.
