Design Thinking: A New Perspective on Research
We all work intensively on complex scientific questions. But how well do we actually understand the needs, expectations, and challenges of the people our research is relevant to?
This Design Thinking Workshop is all about taking a step back and looking at your work from a different perspective: understanding our audiences, identifying their needs, and turning these insights into new impulses for our work.
We will spend a full day learning and, above all, practising the Design Thinking (DT) methodology and some of its most popular methods. The day will take place away from our usual premises, with hands-on methods, fresh perspectives and a small excursion beyond the scientific comfort zone. There will also be a challenge waiting for you – tricky, but genuinely fun – which will guide us through the main phases of Design Thinking.
To round off the day, we will reflect on the innovation methodology during a guided tour through the history of science at Deutsches Museum.
Register before 28.09.
Because great research doesn’t start with the right answer – it starts with understanding the true challenges. No prior knowledge is required – just curiosity and a willingness to try something new.
