Join the MCQST Doctoral Program

Whether you are about to start your PhD or are already well into your research, the MCQST Doctoral Program is open to you. As the central framework for doctoral researchers in quantum science and technology in Munich, it connects a diverse community across all quantum fields, from quantum computing and quantum sensing to quantum materials and quantum communication. Our members are based at LMU Munich, TU Munich, the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, and the Walther-Meißner-Institut.

There are two ways to join, depending on where you are in your PhD:

  • Apply for an MCQST Doctoral Fellowship – for prospective PhD candidates who have not yet started their doctorate. Applications are open through the annual fellowship call.
  • Register for the MCQST Doctoral Program – for doctoral researchers who have already started their PhD in an MCQST research group.
