Supporting scientific Exchange and International Collaboration
MCQST supports scientific exchange and international collaboration through its dedicated Guest Program. The program aims to bring outstanding researchers to Munich, fostering meaningful interactions with the MCQST community and enabling the exchange of expertise, ideas, and know-how across institutions and disciplines.
By hosting international guests, MCQST strengthens its research network and creates opportunities for long-lasting collaborations. The Guest Program is funded by the Munich Quantum Center.
What is supported?
The Guest Program provides funding for research visits by invited, internationally renowned researchers lasting between 2 and 6 weeks. The maximum funding available per guest visit is €6000.
To ensure sustainability and facilitate genuine scientific exchange with the MCQST community, visits shorter than two weeks cannot be supported.
In addition to financial support, the MCQST office can assist with organizational and logistical aspects of the visit, including:
- Travel coordination
- Visa-related questions
- Accommodation
- Office space
- Communication and visibility (e.g. announcements within the community and on the MCQST website)
To enable this support, it is essential that the MCQST office is informed well in advance and provided with all relevant details of the planned visit.
Who can apply?
All MCQST members (associated and core members) are eligible to apply for Guest Support. Guests can’t self-nominate for support.
How to apply?
To apply for support
- Fill out the Guest Support Form
- Send the form to guests[at]mcqst.de
Applications are reviewed by the MCQST Executive Committee (EC), which decides whether the visit can be supported by MCQST.
