Inclusive Leadership

with Manuela Möller

Description

Promoting and managing diversity effectively is an essential part of leadership. The relationship-oriented leadership style of inclusive leadership embodies proactivity, fairness, and empathy towards employees about diversity. Inclusive leadership involves encouraging appreciative behavior and demonstrating tolerance for mistakes and ambiguity to promote a diverse organizational culture and inclusive-minded leaders. A culture of appreciative communication among colleagues, recognition of contributions, awareness of different life experiences and an attitude of learning from mistakes can strengthen everyone´s sense of belonging and responsibility while ensuring the organization’s future viability.

The aim of this workshop is to raise awareness of the power of unconscious biases and the positive effects of inclusive leadership, to encourage examining behavior in current and/or future (leadership) roles, and to promote a conscious approach to diversity in the workplace. The content includes:

• Recognizing diversity in team collaboration

• Understanding the importance of inclusive leadership

• Providing space to reflect on one's (future) leadership role

• Applying these principles to one's own work environment

The workshop focuses on understanding the fundamental principles of inclusive leadership and is therefore also suitable for future leaders. It will be conducted with interactiv methods.
