Science in 360°: "Single atoms in crossed optical fiber cavities" lab tour

15 March 2021

Experience the CavityX lab in 360°

For the 24th annual conference on Quantum Information Processing (QIP2021), which was jointly organised by the Cluster of Excellence MCQST and the TU Munich, Dominik Niemitz, a doctoral student in the Quantum Dynamics department of Gerhard Rempe, has taken the conference participants through a virtual tour of the CavityX laboratory from his research group. In this lab the researchers investigate individual atoms in crossed optical fibre cavities.

The video shows the set-up of the experiment and the laboratory environment in a 360° view, which offers the viewer a much more imersive lab visit, albeit a virtual one.
