MCQST 2024 - Fees and Logistics
Attendance for all MCQST & IMPRS-QST members is covered by MCQST. We welcome external guests, however they will need to cover the accommodation and conference costs themselves directly at the conference venue.
Travel to Sonthofen
MCQST will arrange a group bus to Sonthofen on 14 May and a return trip to Munich on 17 May. For IMPRS-QST students, there will be a bus departing early in the morning on 13 May bound for Sonthofen. After the registration deadline, a separate form will be distributed to all participants providing further information.
If you cannot join the group bus, the conference venue is reachable by train or car, and you are welcome to make your own arrangements,
MCQST members
All participation costs for MCQST members (affiliated with an MCQST group) are covered by the cluster.
Please note: There are not enough rooms for each person to have their own single room. Please try to share your room when possible. For MCQST groups, we strongly recommend that you coordinate this through your group’s secretariat.
External attendees
External participants need to cover their own accommodation and conference costs, directly at the conference venue. See prices below.
Are you a Master's or PhD students not affiliated with MCQST? You need only to cover your own accommodation costs. For details, reach out at events[at]mcqst.de.
Booking Information & Fees
Accommodation
MCQST has reserved a block of hotel rooms at a reduced price. You will need to book your hotel room by 15.04.2024 by emailing the hotel at info@allgaeustern.de or by calling (08321) 279-0. Please provide the code MCQST 2024.
The prices for these rooms are as follows:
- Single room: €112 / Night
- Double room: €194 / Night
- Family room (3 people): €265 / Night (Double bed + bunk bed; bunk bed is not recommended for tall guests)
- Family room (4 people): €305 / Night (Double bed + bunk bed; bunk bed is not recommended for tall guests)
If you register after 15.04.2024, we can no longer guarantee room availability at the conference hotel. You are welcome to look for accommodation at other hotels close by.
Conference Fees
External participants will also need to cover the catering costs for the duration of their attendance. These are to be settled directly with the conference venue.
- Full day (incl. lunch and dinner): €102 / day
- Lunch and coffee breaks (no dinner): €78 / day
- Coffee breaks and dinner: €65 / day
